BIO
As a screenwriter with a passion for independent film, Jonathan Richard Sotelo has co-directed and written several award-winning short films, including the Best Spanish Language Short at the 2019 San Diego ATT Shape Film Festival. He has also showcased his film photography skills in various projects, capturing the beauty and diversity of his Mexican/Guatemalan American heritage.
Jonathan holds a MFA in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from San Diego State University, where he also earned his BS in Television, Film, and New Media. He has applied his creative and communication skills in his previous role as a Customer Experience Specialist at Gateway Genomics, where he handled customer service, surveys, reviews, and social media. Jonathan is ready to trailblaze a new path in the film industry with his vision and talent.
